JV to service Qld CSG sector
A NEW joint venture has been formed by international energy services company Wood Group and Toowoomba-based Wagners to service Queensland’s coal seam gas sector.
The new company, called Wood Group Wagners, will provide the state’s gas producers with a flexible, fit-for-purpose solution to delivering CSG by combining Wood Group’s global CSG experience with the local supply chain capability of Wagners.
Wood Group developed its CSG expertise over several years working for major clients in Wyoming’s Powder River and Green River basins.
Wood Group director for Asia Pacific Les Thomas said the company had broadened its engineering and project management capability in Australia with the new JV.
“Wood Group Wagners provides a great resource for the CSM industry in Australia as the combined strength of our partner companies gives us the capability to deliver CSM projects from field development through commissioning to operations,” he said.
Wagners is a family-owned company specialising in supplying material, transportation, warehousing and logistics.
