Comet Ridge firming up CSG plans

COMET Ridge expects to award the contract for its planned eight-well coal seam gas drilling program in ATP 743P and 744P of the Galilee Basin, Queensland, during the first half of August.

The company said drilling work was on track to start late this quarter or early in the fourth quarter subject to the formal award of the two permits by the Queensland Department of Minerals and Energy.

Comet Ridge has already received all necessary environmental approvals and has met all native title requirements for the two permits.

It added that the preliminary top coal structure map has been generated with well locations selected.
